We have received several inquiries about the support for PHP 7.4 and its duration. At nordicway, you can still get a web hosting service with PHP 7.4, and currently, we have no plans to phase out this PHP version. We cannot provide a specific date for its discontinuation at the moment, but we will announce it well in advance when we reach a decision to phase out PHP 7.4.

We understand that many users are still running WordPress websites on PHP 7.4 and depend on this version, as their plugins and themes are not yet compatible with PHP 8.0. However, we recommend updating plugins and themes as soon as possible so they can become compatible with PHP 8.0.

Once you have updated your site, you can switch to PHP 8.0 in cPanel using the MultiPHP manager. You can do this without risk, as you can easily switch back to PHP 7.4 if your site encounters issues.

We expect PHP 7.4 to be available on our servers at least throughout 2023.
